5 Most Unique Destinations On Earth Based On True Experience
This 5 most unique destinations post is one of the most sincere parts of the Book of Travel. Because this is going to be a constantly updated post based on the true experiences that the author lives. I’ll update this post each time I experience a country or a region in such a way that totally adds true value and makes that destination a unique place on earth that you must visit.
Don’t forget these are totally based on experience, there are many outstanding destinations on our planet however, it wouldn’t be the right thing to talk about a place without experiencing it. Without any further comments, here are my 5 most unique destinations based on my life experiences so far:
I can’t find words to describe this nature gem! I can tell you it’s almost a hidden gem that most places in this country are totally undiscovered by many travelers. I felt like wherever I look I see whether the blue Caribbean Sea or surrounded by the green forests of Belize. I spent my time in Belize in a lovely place called Cotton Tree Lodge in Punta Gorda that is located in Southern Belize. It was a perfect combination of a luxury holiday for an affordable price and also the exciting adventure in a jungle.
There are must-visit places in Belize depends on what you enjoy the most. For example, if you are an adventure seeker, you must definitely go to the famous Blue Hole to do scuba diving or even skydive to see it from above. I should also mention San Pedro island which you should definitely visit if you just want to enjoy the Caribbean Sea while staying in a top luxury resort.
2) Western Cape, South Africa
This is currently my most recent experience and literally one of the best! People are always limiting themselves with Cape Town when it comes to South Africa, but let me mention the other amazing spots in the country where you get to experience your wildest dreams and cross a lot of items from your bucket list! I think you should absolutely Google places like George, Mossel Bay, Plettenberg Bay. Activities that you might do once in your lifetime can all be found in these places.
First of all, definitely check out Mossel Bay for wildlife sanctuaries where you can get really close to the wild animals like monkeys, elephants, giraffes or zebras. There are great safari experiences in the area as well. You can also do the worlds biggest bridge bungee jump in Bloukrans Bridge which is close to Plettenberg Bay.
In Mossel Bay there are great scuba diving places where they offer you crazy experiences like diving in a cage to see the great white sharks. I don’t think you can do this everywhere! There are great fun activities like surfing or sandboarding close to Mossel Bay where you will also find so many places to hike, do mountaineering and experience the true nature in South Africa. For more information about action sports options you can check out my latest post about South Africa!
3) Trolltunga, Norway
Trolltunga is a crazy spot to experience the definition of the stunning view! However, it is also extremely hard to reach. Norway is famous for the fjords and crazy hikes to the mountains, but this one is for people who are absolutely nuts and ready for any adventure. One way hike usually lasts 5 hours so it takes almost 10 hours and even more in some cases depends on who you are doing with. One thing for sure, you will have to wake up really early and start your hike at 8 or 9 at latest.
This is not a “whole family can do” or “bring your grandparents, too” trip. Well if you are feeling like you can do anything, age doesn’t matter for this hike, but definitely, it’s not for everyone and it’s a hard hike.
The view you get to see on top is outstanding. Also, I have never seen such a long line on a top of a mountain. I can’t even imagine how would it be if this would be an easy hike. There are crazy people who try handstands, hanging from the cliff when they reach to the top. Looking at its image here I wonder could you do that?
4) Cappadocia, Turkey
Cappadocia is one of the hottest trends on social media now especially with those hot air balloon pictures during the sunset, those are the best! But there are much more to see and do in Cappadocia. It is a special location for me because it is my home country and Cappadocia was one of the places I’ve been during my teenage years.
Fairy Chimneys are totally a natural miracle of Cappadocia. Incredible rock formations and also with its local culture Cappadocia really offers the true Turkish hospitality! In addition to that, there are underground cities, historic castles to visit. You can rent a hot air balloon, ride a horse, stay in a cave hotel and most importantly witness a local Turkish night where you can see very special local entertainings. Believe me there are many more, and you can read them all in my post about Cappadocia!
5) Pink Lake, Yucatan, Mexico
You look at your left and there is a pink lake, then you look at your right and it’s blue. How is this possible? Well you can always check out my blog post about Yucatan, where I explain all the details about this magical lake. But, I can tell you that it is one of the existing pink lakes and one of the most photographed place in Yucatan, Mexico since it attracts all the bloggers and Instagrammers for their cover pictures. It is located in Las Coloradas, which is 3 hours distance from Tulum or Cancun by driving.
